Not having been in SEO for long, it became very apparent that there is tonnes of stuff to read on an ever expanding topic area - but none of this has ever had the same affect as trailing some of this and as you quite rightly put: "you actually have to do it to learn from your mistakes." I've encountered a few mistakes already - but haven't made them again and getting some good results, so think I'm learning!
