I get asked what the meaning behind Goosh is a lot. And by a lot, I mean every time I meet someone for the first time who has heard me referred to as Goosh. I thought I would try to explain where Goosh came from. It might interest you, but most probably you won’t really care
Originally, the name Goosh was an alternative to a previous nickname I was using when I was first getting involved in online activities. Due to personal IRL reasons I had to change the nickname I had used on forums, ICQ etc to a different name and after a very long drinking session in a Wetherspoons in Newcastle Upon Tyne a friend of mine suggested the name Goosh. His explanation of why shall always only be told in person and normally after a very, very long drinking session.
I used to use the online alias whilst playing online First Person Shooters (FPS) games such as Delta Force 2 and Return To Castle Wolfenstein. This has since carried over into my current addiction: World Of Warcraft.

This carried over into my search engine optimisation (SEO) research and before you know it I was known as Goosh in my professional & online life. Thankfully, most people don’t shout after me in the street with “Goosh, Goosh, wait up!”.
Despite several other online mentions of Goosh, I can confirm that I did not, take the name from:
