Setup my own private URL shortener service

Been looking into this for a while now, and I have finally got round to it.

Firstly, a big hat tip to @JoannaButler for sending me some awesome information, and to @DanielHoggan for some help brainstorming for a domain.

Secondly, I am currently using YOURLS, a PHP script that auto-manages your .htaccess files and all the nitty gritty stuff that enables a short URL to be used.

And with this http://goo.sh was born :D

I’ll follow up this post with more info and step-by-step guides on how I got it all working.
