Having just returned from a trip to Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt, I am sad to say that I am actually glad to be back. With the heat in the 35+ degrees from 8am on wards it was a bit unbearable. Despite that though, the trip was fantastic. I’m looking forward, however, to heading back either next year or the year after.
Now I have returned I can concentrate on my work for my employer, Mediaworks. As a premier supplier of Internet Marketing in Newcastle upon Tyne we certainly have our work cut out for us and unfortunately makes the age-old phrase ring true: There’s no rest for the wicked 
It appears as if the UK based social networking site FaceParty has turned it’s back on their user base and stuck up the two fingers after feeling the wrath of a client-base made up of, and targeted at, teenagers.

Faceparty ran a competition offering free use of their CoolTools customisation kit to anybody that uploaded a fancy dress picture by the 12th June. Despite Faceparty advising that there would be a delay of up to 2 weeks before the processed the expected 8,000 “winners”, the 12th of June has passed the users have kicked off in the only way the online social network knows best - abuse!
Messages have been left with varying degree’s of spelling errors, abusive comment’s and even threat’s to sue the company for not upholding their part of the deal. What was Faceparty’s reply?

Now call me an old cynic where everything nowadays appears, at first glance, to be a publicity stunt, but does this not smell of a viral campaign? Surely a company, of any variety, would not simply shut up shop and tell their user-base to jog on to their competitors?

There are many thing’s that have been caught on film that have made me smile. However, none of them have been, nor will they ever be, as awesome as an elephant slam dunking a basketball!

As I am sure you have read, Firefox is trying to set a Guiness World Records for most downloaded software in one day. The one thing that I have been waiting for before I upgrade is the Google Toolbar to become compatible. Well, thankfully upgrade version that is compatible with Firefox 3 has been released.
I try not to rely on extensions within firefox, but the Google Toolbar is a ncessary addon for an SEO like myself. It just makes my life so much easier. Well, not as easy as SEOquake, but you get my drift
